Update From Pastor Matt

December 1st, 2021

Dear Congregation,

As you may have heard, the health orders declaring a full exemption of health orders for worship services was lifted Tuesday November 30, 2021. Meaning that, as of now, there is a mask mandate in effect to attend Sunday Morning Worship Services until further notice. There is also a mandate stating that churches can operate at 50% of their building capacity or greater than 50% capacity where proof of vaccination is produced. We will not be asking for proof of vaccination to attend our worship services, and if necessary, we are prepared to use our Gym as an overflow space again.

We will continue to cooperate with health orders. I know we all have differing opinions on the government’s leadership through the pandemic and the ever-changing regulations. My door is always open to hear you speak about your thoughts and opinions. Having differing opinions will not define how we treat each other! We will continue to worship God in person and online with the freedom He gives us to praise Him together!

This Sunday’s Advent theme is Peace. There are many things around us these days that could cause division. Division and dissention are not new social norms that are only present now. Things that cause separation have been present for centuries and what Jesus has done in his coming to earth, is to bring peace. We will maintain our trust in him during this time and pray that the cases of COVID continue to drop. Jesus is to be praised for the peace he offers us through his blood.

“For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.”
Colossians 1:16-20 NIV
